The thing I like best about Pop's is you guys always manage to give me more than enough napkins. As someone who struggles to get the already dead and prepared animal to my face without getting it on my face, I go through a pretty heavy amount of napkins. You guys don't even flinch when it comes to handing them out. You're like Frank Reynolds with a wad of hundreds. You're gonna go make it rain because you're ready to plow. Have to go with 4 stars for not actually making it rain on me though

Tried this location for the first time. Yes, it's on a busy corner and a pain to get in to. With that said, the beef was really good. Bun and sweet peppers were good too. The large fry is HUGE! Enough for 3-4 people. Would go back for sure.

Been here a few times and they have the worst customer service! I believe it's the manager ( Female, younger, maybe mid 30's, and was wearing an orange shirt when everyone else was wearing a black shirt) she never seems to want to help anyone whenever you order from her, she has a look of being pissed off. That, or she has a "Resting Bitch Face" that could kill a cat. I thought the first 2 time I ordered from her, she could have been just having a bad day, but after eating there multiple times now, I think it's just her. she never looks happy, and it always seems to be an inconvenience for her to help you, I also have never seen this women smile even thought I'm always smiling when I've talked to her. Also, whenever there's no one at the counter, the employees and her just sit around on their cell phones when I'm sure there's work/cleaning that could be getting done. I know working in food service isn't the most fun jobs, but if you have a poor attitude, and treat customers the way she does, people won't want to return. I know these are franchise owned, so I hope the company owners see what she's doing, and get rid of her before it's too late for this business. I'll go back soon and see if there's any changes, and write another review. -Sam

Meh...doesn't really compare with some of the other outlets. Maybe they just need time to get their game down because this place hasn't been open very long. On the evening we went the tables were dirty, the napkins were hidden so you have to search for them, no one had bussed the tables, and the bathrooms were just passable. They did have a nice condiment area - all sorts of choices. As to food it was unremarkable. It was ok...not bad but not something you'd come back for. We had cheese dogs, regular dogs, and an Italian beef sandwich. They were allright...but Don's/JRs for example makes better hot dogs and Bono's/Al's makes better Italian beef. The best way to describe this place is that it is tailor made for bringing your Little League team to after a game. A dozen 10 year olds would love the place...get dogs and maybe a hamburger and the good fries. But for grown ups it was just passable. Too bad my Little League coaching days are passed.

Brand new location. Very clean and bright. Hard to get in and out of. Staff was nice and knowledgeable. Service was very fast. The Italian beef was horrid. It tasted like I ate nothing. The beef was flavorless. It was chopped into tiny tiny pieces. We ordered ours with cheese and juicy. The cheese was not able to be seen if it was on there. If you go Do Not Order the Italian Beef. It was awful.

Just like the other Pop's. Nice, greasy fast food! OP is just turning into a mecca for places to eat and i'm happy that Pop's is one of them since Baby's demise. My favorite is the rib sandwich here, but really good italian beef/sausage as well! Will have to buy some broasted chicken for the future father in law as I think he'd like it.

This pops location is bigger than the one that I usually go to in Palos, but I must say I prefer the Palos location. Also, not sure why their chicken ceasar salad is nothing like a ceasar salad, its more like a garden salad at this location.

After two bad experiences I won't return to this location. The food is sloppily prepared and the restaurant has a terrible odor of MSG. It's also a pain to get into the lot. I grew up with Pop's on Kedzie and am saddened to see how far they have fallen. My beef sandwich was so wet I had to use a fork and throw away the bread. The gravy also seems vastly different from the traditional Pops. Even the hot pepper mix was different. On my previous visit I ordered the breaded steak. I asked first if it was real steak and similar to Ricobene's, but it was clearly a completely different mass produced product from a vendor. It was so disgusting I can only describe it as a low quality deep fried ground meat patty that tasted like a greasy sponge. I'd sooner eat Banquet Salisbury Steak. As my son put it, the only thing worth eating here is the Ketchup.

Went there last night with the family. This is the only location I've been to so I don't have anything to compare it with. However, the food was great and the prices were cheap. My family of 4 ate for $27 and some change. Not bad and so much better than other fast food places. The staff was very friendly and willing to help us with the menu since it was our first time. Will definitely be going back with the coupons they gave us.

I stopped here after a nice trip to Binnys for some wine. I ordered the grilled chicken on vienna bread with red sauce and there very own home made hot peppers. The chicken had a nice grilled flavor to it. The vienna bread was soft and fresh. The place was very clean. Customer service was perfect. When in the area, I will go back.

I work in the area what a great place for lunch or a quick dinner. One of my co workers turned me on to this place and is fantastic. Their hot dogs and beef sandwiches are delicious you have to try them, they give you a very generous portion of fries, you will not leave there hungry. Service is great went there for myself and co workers, for a large carry out order I had a coupon that was only for one hot dog special and needed three. They said no problem we will take care of you and honor the special for all three. That's great service. Next time your in the area stop by and give them a try.

Doesn't begin to compare to the Pop's in Palos Heights. It's like a cheap knock off. Hot dog was per wrapped in the bun and must have been in the steamer for hours. French fries were cold, service stinks. Much better places to grab a sandwich in Orland.

Over priced. Don't allow substitutions even at an added cost. Food is decent at best. This will be my last time going here. There are far better food options in the area.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
